Many are unaware, but there exists a distinction between cream (peanut cream) and peanut butter. The more prevalent and industrialized peanut butter contains a high level of saturated fats, attributed to hydrogenated vegetable oils and the seed processing method, which strips them of their beneficial properties. Additionally, peanut butter often includes added refined sugars or salt.
In contrast, peanut cream does not incorporate hydrogenated oils or refined sugars. It is exclusively derived from the grinding process, utilizing only peanuts in our product. This means it comprises entirely natural ingredients without the inclusion of dyes or preservatives, aiming to minimize environmental impact.
Our peanut cream stands out as a rich source of vegetable protein. It serves as a reservoir of unsaturated fats, recognized as “good fats” for the body, encompassing Omega 3 and 6. Additionally, it contains essential elements such as vitamins E and B, along with mineral salts like iron, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, and copper.
Our peanut cream boasts the following characteristics:
- Free from dyes
- Free from preservatives
- Free from hydrogenated oils
- Free from refined sugars
- Free from added salt
The presence of a distinct oil layer on the surface, separate from the cream underneath, serves as evidence of the complete absence of emulsifiers within the jar. Creams with a smooth and uniform texture typically achieve this appearance through the inclusion of emulsifiers.
Yamamoto® Nutrition has chosen to produce natural creams without resorting to emulsifiers or preservatives. To restore the soft and spreadable consistency of our precious natural creams, a simple solution is to use a spoon to create holes in the solidified paste, allowing the oil to penetrate, and then vigorously mix in all directions until the cream returns to a soft and homogeneous texture.
